Exam I: Impressionism & Printmaking (Hard)
Description: Initially, I had created solely the easy version of the exam. Students, however, had asked me if I could design a more challenging version, one that perhaps high school students would receive. As a result of such requests, I designed a more difficult version that has more in-depth questions, and more questions that require high level critical thinking. In addition to that, this version does not provide a word bank and requires a much higher level of information recall.
I required that students must take the easy version first, and that if time remained they would be able to take the difficult version. I would accept the higher of the two grades, and students would have a sense for how much more difficult high school will be than middle school.

Exam I: Impressionism & Printmaking (Tiered)
Description: As with assigned projects, it was necessary to tier the exam so as to accommodate students with learning disabilities. Additional accommodations were also provided, such as extra time, a simplified study guide and in extreme cases, a verbal assessment of the exam.
This exam differs from the easy version that general education students received in content, question length, point value and formatting.

Exam I: Study Guide
Description: To ensure that students were fully prepared for the exam and most equipped to achieve the highest grade possible, I composed a study guide that is essentially a modified version of the exam. Every piece of information on the exam is on the study guide, and vice versa; there are no surprises and no secrets as to the formatting or content of the exam. The version that I gave the class did not have the answers on it so that we could personally go through the study guide in class.
To ensure that I did not fail to include information on the study guide, I created the exam and study guide simultaneously. When a question was created on the exam, I re-worded it and included it on the study guide so that the exam would be as fair as possible.

Exam I: Study Guide (Tiered)
Description: Considering that the exam itself is tiered, it was most logical and appropriate to tier the study guide as well. Everything that is on the exam also appears on the study guide, and I also changed the font size to make it easier to study.
