PowerPoint: Monet I: Master of Light
Description: This PowerPoint begins with the sole purpose to capture the attention of my students, and to make a comparison between the painting style of Monet, and the outrageous style of the featured celebrity. I am mainly focusing upon the lasting impression Monet made upon the art world, how he overcame adversity and how he focused on the effects of light, rather than capturing form. Students will learn how he progressed from his first to his last painting, and how he singlehandedly changed the way we look at art.
PowerPoint: Monet II: Appropriation
Description: This presentation was designed to give students creative inspiration. It is not informative in terms of art history or vocabulary, but it is rich with images of art work from one of the greatest artists in history. Its function is to give students an idea as to what I am looking for in their projects, and to motivate them to emulate the great artist Claude Monet.
PowerPoint: Monet III: A Lasting Impression
Description: This PowerPoint serves three purposes: to be informative, inspirational and engaging. This presentation is saturated with historical, biographical, and pictorial information that delves into not only the process of printmaking, but also some of its key artists. Students are introduced to the Intaglio printmaking, as well as some of the most highly esteemed American and Japanese landscape artists of all time.
